Choose the Support That Fits You
There isn't one right way to ride the Mickelson Trail. That's why we've created four different 3-day options.
Single Shuttle
Our most economical option.

Leave your vehicle in Edgemont and we’ll shuttle you, your bicycles, and your gear to Deadwood. From there, you’re completely self-supported—ride south over three days, carrying your overnight essentials, and finish right back at your vehicle in Edgemont.

Best for: Independent riders looking for the lowest-cost way to ride the entire trail.
Self-Supported Adventure
Independent riding with strategic shuttle support along the way.

Leave your vehicle in Edgemont and begin with our shuttle to Deadwood. Instead of riding the longer Deadwood-to-Hill City section in one day, you’ll ride to Mystic, where we’ll shuttle you to Hill City for the night and return you to Mystic the next morning to continue your ride.

Best for: Riders comfortable carrying their overnight gear who want more manageable daily mileage and additional shuttle support.
Comfort Ride
Travel light and use Custer as your home base.

You’ll have access to your own vehicle every evening, while our Mickelson Trail bicycle shuttle service helps you ride each section point-to-point.

Best for: Riders who want convenience and flexibility without changing hotels each night.
Fully Supported Adventure
You ride. We take care of the luggage.

Leave your vehicle in Edgemont and enjoy the trail while we handle the shuttle logistics and move your luggage between overnight stops.

Best for: Riders who want the easiest, most comfortable multi-day experience.

Why Use a Mickelson Trail Bicycle Shuttle?
The Mickelson Trail is a point-to-point trail, which is part of what makes riding it so enjoyable.

You don't have to turn around and ride the same miles back to where you started.

But that creates one obvious question:

What do you do with your vehicle?
That's where we come in.

Touring in the Black Hills provides private Mickelson Trail shuttle and Black Hills shuttle service to help riders connect trailheads, overnight stops, and their vehicles.

Instead of planning your ride around where your car happens to be, you can plan your ride around the trail experience you actually want to have.

Don't Need a 3-Day Itinerary?

That's okay. These four Adventures are only one way we help cyclists experience the Mickelson Trail.
Touring in the Black Hills also provides private point-to-point Mickelson Trail bicycle shuttle service. Whether you're riding one section, planning your own multi-day trip, or simply need help getting you and your bicycles from one trailhead to another, we can help with the logistics.
We can help with:
-
Point-to-point Mickelson Trail bicycle shuttles
-
Transportation between trailheads
-
One-day and multi-day shuttle arrangements
-
Luggage transfers
-
Vehicle relocation
-
Custom shuttle plans built around your ride
